with paralysis of the left hand and lithiasis and general debility. Shown on Report of
Medical Examining Board, Dalton, Georgia - Disability: nostalgia and general debility
from old age. Recommended for hospital duty due to disability.

Resided in Tuskegee, Alabama. Enlisted May 5, 1862 in
Macon County by M. L. Woods. Mustered in May 9th at Loachapoka. Captured at
Port Gibson, Mississippi on May 2, 1863 and exchanged June 12, 1863. Held at
Military Prison, Alton, Illinois. Granted 60 day furlough for wounds to face. On a
Register of Patients in Ocmulgee Hospital, Macon, Georgia for a fracture of the bone
in front of the ear - simple surgery. Admitted September 8, 1864 and furloughed
September 13, 1864. Appears on Register for Way Hospital, Meridian, Mississippi on
January 7, 1865 with diarrhoea. Reported wounded January 17, 1865. Again reported
wounded March 25, 1865 and furloughed. Appears on Register for Way Hospital,
Meridian, Mississippi as admitted on May 21, 1865 with wound. Furloughed.

Captured at Vicksburg on July 4, 1863. Captured November
26, 1863 at Chattanooga, Tennessee and forwarded to Louisville, Kentucky for
exchange. Sent on to Rock Island Barracks, Illinois. Died April 18, 1864, grave #1060.

lower fibula damaged, weakening limb so "progression is impossible without the aid of
crutches." Description: 38 years of age, 5'-8" tall, fair complexion, blue eyes, dark hair.

children. Born in Stewart County, Georgia. Occupation: farmer. Age 31. Dark hair,
dark complexion, black eyes, 5'-10 ½" tall. Buried in Bethel Cemetery, Knoxville,
Tennessee.
